Occasional musings from my big chair, I invite you to sit down with a cuppa and join me and Pepper for a few minutes......

"This was the first painting I managed to complete while recovering from a brain bleed caused during a procedure in June 2024. Leaving the hospital with limited communication skills and no motivation, I wasn’t sure if I’d still be able to paint, or even if I’d want to! But that’s when I truly learned how incredible the NHS services are in Kent." [...]
Having epilepsy is far more than just seizures. This month, I wanted to share a part of my life that might make you realise how easy it is to take the simplest, most natural thing for granted — sleep. [...]
Being part of a creative community means everything — especially during the times when your own productivity is at a low. Life gets in the way sometimes, and it can feel frustrating when the ideas don’t come, or your body simply says nope, not today. [...]
Whirlwind Weeks, Big Decisions & A New Chapter The past few months have felt like a total whirlwind! Since exhibiting at the Chelsea Art Fair, I’ve taken a step back from social media to focus fully on my health — something I’ve needed to do for a long time. It’s not always easy to press pause, but when your nightly seizures worsen and your energy dips, sometimes self-care has to take the front seat. That said, I’m still doing what I can to speak up about disability rights — using my voice whenever I have the strength to do so. Meanwhile, Giles has dropped [...]
Moving an old webpage to a Blogpost just as more stuff happens!! When Life Goes To Sh*t Make Art! 'When Life Goes To Sh*t Make Art' is the painting I did after deciding to go ahead with the next step towards brain surgery. The 'wonder drug' that had worked for a few months and given me back my life was wearing off even though I was taking more than anyone I [...]
After a packed weekend talking to the crowds of art lovers and artists in Chelsea Town Hall this last weekend I can look back at all I've learned. The run up to the event was more relaxed this time as I had a lot of paintings ready from the Art Fair that had been cancelled, but I still needed to set up the layout and get that across to the fair organiser in good time, and print labels. By the time I got to Chelsea Town Hall I was very glad to find that the main hall, that I was in, had [...]
Everything is in full swing for the upcoming 38th Edition of Parallax Art Fair, which takes place at Chelsea Town Hall. With the vernissage for VIP guests, friends, family, gallerists and interior designers organised for Friday 21st February. Then open to the public from 22nd for the weekend. I'll be on stand C14 and hope to see you there. If you follow me on Instagram you're bound to see scenes from the fair, including all the other artists who'll be there with me. Now I'd better get back to printing labels and sorting out all the little extras. [...]
The National Brain Appeal aren't the only charity to benefit from my art. Fairshott Cafe and The National Youth Theatre joined the causes I donate to this year. [...]
Currently I've been losing all track of time while I'm trying to rebuild my website. Moving from one provider to another and cutting ties with old subscription based newsletters. I'm delighted to have found a website provider, FASO, who supply not only a dedicated email address to go with my website, but covers the newsletter too. The addition of weekly marketing updates, support forum and competitions is just a bonus. My website might not be as slick as before, but it shows off my artwork, allowing people to purchase direct and tells visitors a little bit about me and my ethos. There's even 'POD' (print on demand) and 'In Your Room' sections, that I've yet to activate, and probably lots more I have yet to attend one of the seminars. [...]
